In houses and buildings built for residential use today, ventilation is handled mechanically. Mechanical ventilation requires tens and even hundreds of meters of ventilation pipes and ducts. Insulating pipes and ducts must be done carefully and using the right methods. In many new buildings, insufficient attention is paid during the construction phase to conditions or purposes that may change in the future, for example, with regard to the ventilation system. In buildings where mechanical ventilation already exists, cooling air conditioning will often be added in the future. Condensation, heat and sound insulation should always be taken into account in ventilation pipes and ducts already during the construction phase. Aeroflex and Rubaflex cellular rubber insulation is suitable for all of the above-mentioned insulation purposes. To prevent condensation in ventilation pipes and ducts, at least the first insulation layer should be cellular rubber insulation. Dismantling and re-insulating incorrectly insulated ventilation pipes and ducts often costs many times what it would have cost if it had been done correctly!
